Issues to be noted in the application of ceramic fiber lining

Ceramic fiber, also known as aluminum silicate, is currently a refractory material with low thermal conductivity and good insulation and energy-saving effects, in addition to nanomaterials. As a ceramic fiber lining material, it has many advantages such as light weight, high temperature resistance, good insulation effect, and easy construction. It is a high-quality industrial furnace lining material. In application, the following issues should be noted:

1. After the construction of ceramic fiber lining, there is no need for an oven, so it is necessary to protect the lining before starting work to prevent it from being soaked by rainwater, water vapor, etc.

2.To prevent the corrosion of furnace walls by sulfur dioxide in fuel and flue gas, a high-temperature anti-corrosion coating should be applied to the inner surface of the furnace wall during construction, and a metal aluminum foil gas barrier layer should be considered in the design.

3. The interlayer temperature of the composite lining cannot be ignored. If the thickness of the ceramic fiber material on the fire facing surface is thin, it will cause an increase in interlayer temperature and damage the backing material due to overheating, which will inevitably damage the integrity of the entire furnace lining. Reduce the lifespan of the furnace lining.

4. The material and welding of the anchor should be safe and reliable. Improper selection of materials or weak welding can cause corrosion and detachment of the anchor nail root, leading to damage to the lining.

5. The welding of the steel plate on the top of the heating furnace and the connection between the furnace top and the convection chamber must be fully welded and tightly sealed to prevent rainwater from entering the furnace and damaging the lining.

6. To prevent damage to the furnace lining caused by vibration during construction and emergency repairs of the furnace roof.
When operating under positive pressure in the furnace, the use of ceramic fiber lining should be highly valued.
